Araceli G. Garza-Perez, AIA, NCARB, LEED AP

Ms. Garza has unique professional experience while working on both sides of projects:

on the client side as an architectural representative, and on the owner’s side as a real estate developer.

She brings forth over 25 years of professional experience working in the built environment in senior management roles.

Her credentials include a professional Bachelor’s degree in Architecture from the Illinois Institute of Architecture, a Master’s degree in Advanced Architectural Design and a Master’s degree in Real Estate Development from Columbia University in the City of New York. Moreover, she is a Licensed Architect in the State of Illinois, holds a NCARB (National Council of Architectural Registration Boards) certification and is a LEED (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design) Accredited Professional with a keen interest in sustainability practices.

Ms. Garza’s experience in various sectors include projects in the Educational, Commercial, Healthcare, and Residential sectors, for projects ranging from $1MM to $100MM, leading projects and teams to accomplish excellence in services.

Her uncompromising priorities ensure that from the idea stage each design is imbued with special attention to constructability and financial responsibility taking into consideration the different constraints as challenges to create a remarkable project.

Studio ARQ

Araceli served as the Managing Director, managing a team of designers on multiple projects including Dirksen Elementary Schools( $30MM) and Ebinger Elementary School ($14MM)

Galvan and Associates

Responsible for all phases of real estate development projects including site recommendations, selection, control, pre development, identifying and securing public/private funding, financial management, market knowledge, industry benchmarks, construction management and planning.

State of Illinois

Served as Deputy Chief Operating Officer. Responsible for policy-making, project management, facilitative and review of functions for all initiatives and objectives of the Bureau of Property Management and Department of Procurement. Reviewed state-wide owned and operated assets and developed a plan for consolidation and disposition.

The Resurrection Project

Served as a Real Estate Development Manager. Managed multiple properties on a daily basis from pre-development through construction, closeout and occupancy.

The Rise Group

Served as a Project Manager. Provided project management services for all phases of a highly complex interior corporate office fit out. Managed day-to-day operations with construction representatives, consultants and vendors.
